Re: DEAR GOD (GOD's REPLY TO MY OpenLetterToGod)

In all my reflection over the last couple of days, I made an observation and I'll start by sharing it:
There is no 'one-size-fits-all' response to many of the questions we may have as far as Christianity is concerned because, if there were to be humanly comprehensible answers for everything, it will negate the ultimate foundation and essence of Christianity which is FAITH.
Having said that, let's get straight into it (God's response to my letter). I've itemized in bullet points so you may need to revisit the letter to know which specific question each point addresses.
* By design, you aren't supposed to live forever on earth...and since I can't take you all at once, there will always be moments of temporary grief. It's okay to mourn, but through it all, don't lose sight of me.
* Jesus leaving the 99 in search of the missing 1 seems irrational and senseless until that "ONE" is you. MY WAYS ARE NOT YOUR WAYS.
* What you're going through is nothing compared to what I have prevented from happening to you.
Isaiah 57:1-2 will be good to consider here.

* The challenges you face on earth is what makes earth EARTH. Without them, earth will be Heaven.
* One of the functions of pain in your life is to guide and protect you from further danger. If you never feel pain, you would simply walk into danger without knowing it. I also employ pain to bring my beloved to repentance. Make it a habit to always ask, "What have I done wrong?" Or "What am I not doing right that is causing me pain?"
I allow pain in your life because often times, my children ignore warnings, disregard advice...but HUMBLY OBEY pain. Pslm 119:71
* Always see things with the eyes of faith. Because there is no problem my child faces that doesn't have an expiry date.
* If you've never doubted your faith, then 'probably', you've never truly believed... BUT NEVER FEED YOUR DOUBTS.
* I 'allow' you go through challenges basically for 3 reasons;
1. To be sure you will trust me and that you will wait on me in difficult situations...especially because there is a bigger testimony coming ahead. Consider Abraham, Job and others.
2. I have my appointed time for everybody and everything. Look at Hannah!
Ten (10) of you may have gone to school together but it's impossible for 10 of you to have the same result in life at the same time. NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHER PEOPLE. You may have started different stages of your life at the same time; it doesn't change the rule; There's always MY APPOINTED TIME.
3. There is a prophecy over your head and the devil knows about it. That's why he wants to fight that prophecy.

* Just like Story of the man born blind (John 9:2-4); YES, sometimes, I do things (or allow things happen) to people so that my power might be manifested in them.
* Now, who is a good person? Most "good people" are often spiritually careless; not taking precaution in guarding their lives daily. The so-called bad people never leave home without their charms and do not take their spirituality for granted.
* The fact that your friends or siblings enjoyed the bicycle you graciously borrowed them has not changed the fact that it's yours; no matter how well they enjoyed riding it. MOST OFTEN, the unbelievers seem to enjoy the wealth which my children do not enjoy due to ignorance of my children.
* Having said that, the people you see who appear to be doing better, do you know the state of their minds? You enjoy a certain level of peace, krAzy. You wouldn't want to trade that for anything.
* Concerning Stella, you don't know her struggles. Her job may have been done. Even my son spent just 33years. It's not the duration that matters, but the quality of life lived.
* Rejoice when the 'good people' depart the earth because the chances are that they're here with me. Remember, while you mourn their departure from the earth, Heaven rejoices when any of my children make it back home safely. That is the case with Stella. My daughter is with me now. krAzy, just work out your own salvation so you can be reunited with your loved ones who have come here before you.
* You may have been dehumanized if you never feel pain. In life, pain is inevitable. If you never feel pain, you cannot appreciate the extent of the blessings that I've blessed you with.
* Finally, next time, don't you dare tell me to "kuku kee you". I am God! If I choose to bless you (or not), there's nothing; *ABSOLUTELY NOTHING* you can do about it.

**********************************************************************
Thank you so much for being there for me during that moment of emotional breakdown which I experienced. God bless you!
For further understanding on these issues, please check out my Facebook post of the same letter and read the comments. I must make specific reference to comments from people like Chris Chukwudi NyemugwuEhigamen Kingsley , Godwin Inetagbo (whose comments clearly addressed virtually all the questions raised) with Bible references for each answer.

Thank you and God bless!

DEAR GOD (My Open Letter to God): Tribute to Stella Orukamaya

Dear God,
My mood sucks right now. So many questions in my head, screaming and searching for answers.
A lot of things happen to the believer, yet we're made to believe you allow them happen "FOR YOUR GLORY".🙄
Dear God, do you even care about us at all?
Why put us through so much pain?
Don't you care about how these things you do (& permit) "for your glory" make us feel?
Dear God, first off, You are God! You are all-powerful. You can deal with the devil without even moving a muscle. Why did you choose to unleash him on us? Look at the level of destruction he has brought upon your creation and creatures. Can't you just use your veto power to put him in his place without making us go through the rigours of contending with him, thereby distracting us from you?
Dear God, secondly, I know some good people who never ~fcuked~ until they got married just the way you recommended (sorry for my use of the 'foul-language'). Yet, several years after marriage, they're still waiting on you for children. Whereas, some others ate the forbidden fruit over and over and over; you didn't even think twice before giving them children, even when they didn't want them.
Dear God, I know of people who are faithful to you (or so it seems), yet have nothing to show for it. While those who are cutting corners are kindda making a headway.
Dear God, I could go on and on, giving you several instances where you appear to be "falling my hand" but let me just move straight to the one that hurts the most right now. In actual fact, this is the main reason I'm writing you.
Dear God, You said you created us so we can praise you. Thankfully, you also gave us minstrels to make the process of praise easier.
When she sings, she literally leads us straight into your presence.
She gives us a taste of heaven right here on Earth. She is a praiser in the realest sense of the word who constantly blessed us with the gift you gave her.
Dear God, why then did you take her away from us? Don't you want our praise anymore? We console ourselves by saying "she's gone to be with you" or "she's gone to join the host of heaven in praising you".
Baba, I'd like to believe that you have angels who are praising you 24/7 up there in heaven. Must you hurt us just because you want to add to your heavenly team? Can't you just create more angels if you need more voices over there?
Dear God, if you truly care about our feelings, you wouldn't take the ones we love away from us...knowing that it will break our hearts to see them go. What's most annoying is the fact that you take the ones we love and leave us with the ones that make life totally unbearable for your children.
Dear God, it's not that I'm wishing anyone dead, but if given the chance, there are hundreds of bad people (most Nigerian politicians for example) who I'll easily trade for *Stella* . You could have taken them all and left *Stella* for us.
Bad things keep happening to good people yet the wicked ones who have no regard for you are enjoying the riches of the land.
Dear God, I don't intend to judge anyone here but I'm just trying to understand how you operate 'cos to be honest, these things aren't adding up.
Constantly, all we hear is that everything happens for your glory. If you ask me, abeg, you're putting us thru too much pain just for this glory of yours oooo.
Dear God, I don't intend to be rude to you. I just have too many questions begging for answers. I'm sure so many of your children also want answers to all these questions but they have been gagged by the men-of-God you left us with who have given us the impression that you're the God whose actions cannot be questioned.
Well, I disagree!
AGREED! You can't be 'queried', but as your son, I have a right to ask questions when I don't understand things. If you think I'm overstepping my boundaries, you can "kuku kee me too". 😡
The men-of-God have tried their best in answering some of these questions. But their answers don't cut it anymore. They insist that I should just have faith.
To be honest, it's getting more and more difficult to hang on and that's why I've chosen to reach out to you directly.
DEAR GOD, WILL YOU RESPOND TO MY LETTER? 😢
Your Mourning Son!
krAzy.

DEAR GOD: tribute to my friend and sister, a true minister of the gospel; Stella Orukamaya (Estello) who took a bow out of this world on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019...just two weeks after her birthday. 😢😭

A MILLION WAYS TO DIE: my tribute to Abimbola Ayanwale Modinat (...written on June 18, 2019)

She was lying helplessly on the floor when I passed by that night (last week Monday). There were only 2 people around her trying to resuscitate her...which simply suggested that the incident had just occured. (You know how, in a city like Lagos, it takes less than a minute to have hundreds of people gathered when ANYTHING HAPPENS).
I had had a long day and was very tired at the time (around 9:30pm) and I was only halfway through my journey home. It looked (to me) as though, she had suffered a convulsion (or a seizure) and so I said to myself, "she'll be fine"...+... I'm usually not the nosy type of person.
[My philosophy: if you invite me to your business, I 'somehow, reluctantly' get involved. If you don't, I NEVER get involved.]
That's me. I mind my business (sometimes), to a fault.
Anyway, on this day, I had a very strong urge to stop. And I did. I parked and walked back the distance from Maryland Mall to the Pizza shop; the point where Abimbola still laid on the floor. By this time, people had gathered in their numbers. I inquired from one man about what had happened and his narration completely shattered me.
Maybe Abimbola had been suspicious all along.
Maybe she thought she had entered a "one-chance" bus.
But according to my "storyteller" (who was also a passenger on the same bus), the man sitting next to Abimbola only said, "I like your purse."
She probably sensed danger.
She interpreted that statement as a cue. And next thing, Abimbola took the leap. She jumped off the fast-moving bus and landed, hitting her head awkwardly on the floor. Her blood spilt all over!
She wasn't dead. She was still breathing. I said a silent prayer and hoped she'd be fine. After a few minutes of the usual 'Lagos drama', she was carried into a vehicle and driven off...(obviously, to the hospital).
All through the week, I had chills everytime I remembered Bimbo. I don't even know how I managed to get myself home that night. I struggled to get the image of her lying on the ground and hanging on loosely to life out of my mind.
Two days later while on the morning show, we stumbled on these headlines;
"Lady killed, pushed out of bus naked after being robbed in Lagos"
"Abimbola Ayanwale's Death: Murdered and pushed out of bus unclad."
If you search the internet for this story, those headlines up there are the things you'll find. The reportage of the event was a completely distorted story.
But I was there. YES! I WAS THERE THAT NIGHT!
THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!!!
It's sad enough the way social media (these days) is filled with lies and half-truths. We all know that bad news sells but then, who derives any sort of joy from painting a worse picture than what actually happened?
Dear bloggers, you only end up spreading and planting fear and hopelessness in the minds of people by doing this. Maybe ...just maybe, if Bimbo hadn't read too many distorted stories, she wouldn't have been sooo frightened that night.
Anyway, let's leave our poor reportage of issues on one side first. We'll discuss that some other time.
Abimbola thought she was in danger.
...just because of the things that have happened.
...just because of how bad we've become as a nation
...just because we've collectively become a people that shouldn't be trusted.
She ran. She jumped...sorry, Abimbola flew and right after that moment, ...another RIP.
I'm disturbed!
I'm very hurt.
I don't know this lady. I never met Bimbo. But seeing her lie helplessly on the floor that night made my heart sink. Every time the image of that night flashes through my mind, I feel very sad...almost in tears.
How did we get here as a country?
How did we reach the point where a compliment as simple as "I like your purse" is enough to cost a life?
Suicide has taken away a sizeable number of young, vibrant and gallant compatriots lately.
I lost Taiwo Bankole; the Gen. Sec. of my pet project (& entertainment outfit) "The All For Laughter Crew" to an avoidable accident along Lagos-Ibadan expressway back in December 2012. That road still remains a deathtrap till date.
Seun Ogunfuyi, a very important figure in almost all the productions I had with my drama team (Soldiers For Christ) back-in-the-day is one whose death in July 2017 still hurts sooo bad. If we had better healthcare at our general hospitals, if there was more than one nurse on duty that night, I'd like to think Seun would still have been with us now.
Anyway, this right here, is my tribute to Ayanwale Abimbola Modinat ; another Nigerian youth who has been failed by Nigeria.
She didn't commit suicide!
She didn't die due to poor healthcare
...neither did she have a terrible road accident.
Abimbola fled from the fear of death to DEATH!
This is the sad story that our country has become.
One is left wondering and pondering over a few questions;
Who's next?
What kind of death awaits us?
This is Nigeria where a few people steal our billions and leave us with A MILLION WAYS TO DIE.
May God keep evil far away from us.

E GO BETA FOR YOU…

As fallout of my last post, I’ve been pressured by a number of people on the way forward and many said the whole thing shouldn’t just end as an online rant. Having considered some of the feedback received, here’s my take on the way forward:
I admit, a lot of us (the youths) have been polluted but I want to appeal to us to give this country one last chance. JUST THIS ONE LAST CHANCE!
The youth population of this country (according to Wikipedia) is about 33.6 million (ages 18-35). Out of this number, I strongly believe we can raise…
5million youths who are genuinely fed-up with the state of the nation and are willing to do something about it.;
5milion youths who (once again), can believe in the Nigerian project;
5million youths who are ready to force a change in this country;
5million youths who can look beyond religion and ethnicity;
5million youths who will painstakingly put aside personal (and selfish) interests for the sake of a common good;
5 million people who are willing to start a revolution which the unborn generation will forever be grateful to us for.

Friends, we can start afresh!
We can birth a new Nigeria!!
We can start by registering our own political party!!!

Definitely, we will need experienced elders WHO WILL ONLY PLAY ADVISORY ROLES but we don’t need any baba-isale to sway our heads with money.

Ask me about funds to register the party. Ordinary N10 (ten naira) each from all of us will surely pay the registration fee of N1m for new party registration …and still leave us with enough money to take care of several other logistics involved.
We can even take a shot at the big one. Presidential ticket for the 2019 elections cost N10m. Ask me again about funds to purchase the ticket. Another N10 each from all of us will do the magic … and purchase forms for at least 5 of our candidates.
Campaign will definitely not be a problem for us…afterall, NA WE GET SOCIAL MEDIA.
For the records, PMB won the last elections by claiming 15,424,921 votes (I personally monitored the elections myself). That suggests that if the 5 million of us can convince just 3 people (each) to do all it takes to vote, we will hit 20 million votes without stress.
Please, don’t just shove off this post as ‘unworkable’ without giving it some thought. Even the ALMIGHTY GOD was concerned when men came together in unity with a sense of purpose (The Tower of Babel Story). There’s a lot we can achieve TOGETHER.
Even if we don’t reach our target on first attempt, if we can manage to pull this whole thing off, we’d have made a very bold statement – after which I (we) can confidently say, “E GO BETA FOR YOU!!!

Mind you, I don’t intend to be your president; neither am I nursing any political ambitions. After all of this, I’ll be completely content with being remembered as one of 5million Nigerian youths who forced through a revolution in Nigeria.
In fact, to show you I have no ulterior motives, my own N20 is ready. I dey my house. Make una come take am and do the rest.

WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT!

WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT!
(My true life experience as a youth corper/ adhoc staff of INEC in the 2011 general elections) ...by priNce krAzy

There are sooo many tales to tell about my NYSC INEC experience. I remember the very first day of the elections in 2011 which was cancelled/postponed. We had gotten to our pollen units and had started accreditation. Rumours then filtered in that the elections had been postponed by a week. But we just carried on with our business pending getting official instructions to stop the elections.
Some hoodlums then approached us and asked us to stop and leave the place immediately. We told them calmly that we didn't have any instructions from INEC to stop elections and as such, couldn't leave.
When the boys "change am for me", it was clear that these ones meant business. The entire place was already getting rough and unsettled. Trouble seemed to be inevitable. I Iooked around and the policeman, civil defence, and all other security officials that were attached to us had already disappeared. Then we knew we were on our own...just the three of us (myself and two other female corpers). What made matters worse for me was that I was a Batch A corper. We had barely completed the three weeks camping when we were shipped out for INEC duties. Most of us had not even reported at our Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) when we were sent to no-man's-land. In that village, we knew NO ONE! We knew NO WHERE! Even if we decided to run, we didn't know which direction to go that would have guaranteed safety.
Clutching the ballot box, ballot papers and other election materials beneath our armpits (cos you dare not go back to the collation centre without the items; their items meant more to them than the lives of the corpers they sent on duty) in a completely strange environment, and looking for a safe place to hide, I muttered my final prayers and said to myself, if it ends here, then, I'd have gone down knowing that I was serving my country. I'd have attained legendary status - just like Mandela in South Africa. How we escaped to safety that day is gist for another day.
There's soooooo much to tell, but let's just go back to why we're here.
On the day of the Gubernatorial elections that year (back in 2011), we had arrived early at the INEC collation centre to pick up our election materials after which we were expected to head to our various polling units.
But due to the obvious deficiencies of INEC (that didn't prepare vehicles that will move corpers from the collation centre to the polling units), which is also gist for another day, we were being transported from the collation centre (with election materials in hand) by the chairman of one of the contesting parties (in that local government). The party actually arranged a lot of vehicles for that purpose to make it easier for them to manipulate the elections.
While in Mr. Chairman's car, oga started a conversation with us:
MR. CHAIRMAN: so copper-shun, we will take care of you. Your welfare package is with us. My boys will give it to you when you get to the polling unit. But you see, that village we are going, there are about 400 registered voters there and we must win very well.
krAzy: (interrupting oga chairman and acting like a naive otondo) sir, when we get there, you can just mobilize your boys to go and tell the villagers to come out and vote. We will be there till everybody votes sir.
MR. CHAIRMAN: (speaking sarcastically) c'mon Mr. Corper. Stop talking as if you don't know these things. The people in this village are farmers and fishermen. They have gone to the farm. They won't come out to vote. Look, when we get there, you'll just give us 350 ballot papers out of the 400. Like I said, your welfare package is intact.
krAzy: (looking at my fellow corpers in disbelief and totally short of words) erm...erm...sir...erm...sir...
*** ***
Long story short, we didn't give him 350 ballot papers. But how we manouvered Mr. Chairman that day is also gist for another day.
Need I say more??? If Mrs. Farmer and Mr. Fisherman came out to vote that day, there'll be NO ballot papers available for manipulation.
Wait o! After all this plenty story I've said, you're still contemplating NOT VOTING??! Just continue. Wait till I become president in the year "two thousand and xyz".
WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT, refusal to vote will attract a jail term, ...+ a very heavy fine, ...+ permanent seizure of all your assets, ...+ NEPA wee cut ya light and fold the wire and take it away and remove the pole and take it away too,... + filling station wee nor sell fuel to you,...+ if you put on candle in your house at night, we wee comman off it, ...+...+ ...+ ...+ ... + pls help me add more punishment.
Enough said, PLS VOTE...or, at least, Go there. Collect your ballot paper. Thumbprint on 2 or more parties threreby rendering it invalid...With that, it can't be used for rigging!
My name is krAzy, I DON YARN!!!

Random krAzy Thots (RkT) 3.0 - Complete Season 3 (in text)

Random krAzy Thots RkT3.0
#MyElectionMusings

3.01
The politicians don’t ‘fight’ against themselves for our sake. They do so for their individual, selfish and greedy interests. If we can’t unite to fight against them, AT THE VERY LEAST, let’s stop fighting ourselves because of them.

3.02
If a politician approaches me with arms to ‘fight for him’ during this election, I’ll collect it …BUT ON ONE CONDITION. His child/children must come and lead the fight.

Don’t be deceived. Their immediate family will be the first beneficiary of them becoming president (or whatever posts they get elected into). If the children can’t come out to fight for their parents, which one be my own for the mata?

3.03
Dear Elite, 1million retweets is NOT EQUAL to 1million votes. Get Your PVC. AND VOTE TOO…signed; krAzy

3.04
Here's why the young and vibrant candidates who participated in the presidential debate still don't have any realistic chance of winning the elections despite their brilliant performances: Majority of those who saw the debates (and were impressed by the candidates) would not vote. Those who will vote didn't watch the debate for various reasons: didn't have light, can’t afford a generator, couldn't fuel the gen,  don't have enough education to understand all the big-big grammar that was spoken at the debates...and more.

3.05
Although, it's ok to have big and lofty ambitions (referring to the young presidential aspirants) but then, I greatly salute people like Banky W who have chosen to start from the grassroots.

If the change we seek must happen, it has to start from the bottom upwards and not the other way round.

Quick question: even if any of the new, young and vibrant presidential aspirants win the elections, how do they expect to survive when they have a national assembly full of enemies who will do everything possible to frustrate their government?

3.06
...still on the presidential debate...The two leading presidential aspirants gave reasons why they couldn’t attend the presidential debate.

They wouldn't miss the rallies because all you need to have a successful rally is just a little out of the stolen money to throw at ignorant citizens. A debate is a different ball game entirely. You need to have something upstairs.

An intellectual mind would pick a debate over a rally a million out of a million times.
I nor mention anybody name oooo!!! 😏

3.07
I'm not disappointed in the trader / market-woman singing the praises of either APC or PDP. I'm AWFULLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE ELITES WHO AT THE VERY LEAST TRIES TO DIFFERENTIATE ONE FROM THE OTHER. Is it not obvious that they're all the same?

As one of "the other" presidential aspirants put it, they're "two sides of the same coin".

3.08
This charged season will pass. Let’s not destroy several years of friendship because of our differing views in support for (or against) specific candidates who don’t care about us. After these elections, we’ll left alone with ourselves...

This particular thot was inspired by my boss; Ambrose Olutayo Somide. 🙏🏽

3.09
Since independence, we've had more presidents / heads-of-state from the northern part of the country than from all the other tribes combined, yet people in their region are the least educated in the country. Don't you think that's an intentional plot by the few elites amongst them to perpetually USE THEM to win elections? 🤔

Hmmmmm!  ...just thinking aloud! 🤔

3.10
Look around you! Posters EVERYWHERE!...especially in Lagos. Right now, if you stand too long on the roadside, someone will approach you with starch and poster, ready to paste it on you. That’s how bad it is.

Now, if I paste my poster, advertising my hustle, "the agencies" will put a disclaimer on it saying I have committed an offence by doing so. Yet, our “supposed leaders” have their posters defacing EVERY wall and no one is saying anything.

In my opinion, any leader whose poster is found in a wrong place isn’t leading by example and shouldn’t be voted for.
But then, what does it matter? I’m only krAzy and all I have is one vote. 🙄

3.11
When it’s a political rally, they mobilize ALL and ANY available youth. But if it’s a job opportunity, they remember only their family members…

This is not my original thot. I saw it first on my friend; WAPI BLACK's Facebook wall...but I find it worth sharing in this series. 😉

3.12
I've heard a lot of people say "why vote? My vote does not count".
Well, the truth is your vote may not count, but your refusal to vote counts MUCH MORE...but negatively.

I dare say here and now that, the people who refuse to vote are our biggest problems.

You'll understand my point better when I share my final post in the series (on Friday, 15th)...I've titled it, "WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT". 😉

3.13
If you're a registered voter and you INTENTIONALLY refuse to vote, you should be arrested and jailed for aiding and abetting election rigging...but then, what does it matter, I'm only krAzy and I'm not a lawmaker.

By the way, you think my submission is extreme??? Please, wait till you read my true-life experience as a youth corper NYSC staff. I'll share it on Friday, 15th.

3.14
There's no RkT3.14 so as we get set to wrap off tomorrow, let's use today to emphasize two things:

1. Thank you for following the series so far. I'm grateful. 🙏🙏

2. Please take time to read my personal NYSC experience as an INEC adhoc staff in the 2011 elections which I have titled, "WHEN I BECOME PRESIDENT".

DON'T #PrayForNaija!!! 😐

I've been forced to put pen to paper after seeing the hashtag once again. Different tragedies keep happening and all we do is trend meaningless hashtags; #PrayForBenue#PrayForPlateau, #PrayForBerger #PrayForThis#PrayForThat!
Look, praying will NOT solve anything! Let's stop making mockery of the God we claim to believe in...making it look as if He doesn't answer prayers.
If prayer (ALONE) works the magic, we shouldn't be in this state that we find ourselves as a nation...cos, Naija; WE DEY PRAY!
Countries that aren't praying half as much as we pray are working. Nothing; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is working in this country.

Let's tell ourselves the truth for once!
I also hear people say we should go get our PVCs. Sorry to burst your bubble; even getting PVCs won't solve the problem...cos when you get your PVC, who do you want to vote for?
The same old recycled politicians that have continually crumbled this country for decades???
You and I know that the new faces springing up stand almost NO chance.
Truth is, if we (as an oppressed group of people) don't come together to fight the system...
...to fight a system that only empowers the rich thieves to get richer and the poor; poorer.
...to fight the system that puts the petty thief in jail for 10-15years while the bigger thieves who steal billions fly private jets all over the world...
...to fight a system where the laws are for the poor (even though we don't obey them - but that's gist for another day), while the rich are totally above the law...
...to fight a system where some influential people put guns in the hands of ignorant individuals and make them kill innocent citizens; BH & Herdsmen very good examples!
...to fight a system where about 2000 people consistently put almost 200million people in a state of perpetual poverty...
I could go on and on. But if we don't fight the system, nothing will happen!
For your info, Nigeria just overtook India as the country with the highest number of people living in extreme poverty; 87million poor people...with 6persons getting poor every minute.
This took me about 6minutes to write. Who knows? I may just have joined about 35 other people (falling into extreme poverty) while writing this... that's if I wasn't even there before...cos right now, I don't even understand this "owu" wey dey blow lately.
Anyway, I think my point is made. Enough of the prayer. DON'T PRAY4NAIJA!
My name is krAzy! I don yarn!!

THE RICH vs THE REST OF US

THE RICH vs THE REST OF US

I am writing to Chukwudi and Ngozi, from the southeast who hustle legitimately anywhere in the country, to Abubakar (and Aisha) from the north, who struggle day and night just to fend for their families. To Ifiok, who against all odds, ekes out a living from the works of his hands. Even Adedayo and Kamoru from the southwest; Esosa and Tega from the middle-belt, you’re not forgotten. For clarity, if you do any LEGITIMATE hustle in Naija, you’re the one I’m referring to as “TheRestOfUs”, and this write-up is for you. If you cut corners, if you cheat, if you steal public funds (just as most of our politicians have been doing in this country for decades), you’re the one I’m mostly referring to as “TheRich”.

They give these things different colourations (Ethnic/Religious/Gender and all) and make “TheRestOfUs” fight and kill ourselves. If you think I’m wrong, let me ask you; how many of “their children” have been abducted (or killed) by BH? How many of their children have died in religious crisis? How many of their children have been victims of political crisis? Farmers vs Herdsmen; How many of their children are the farmers that have been killed… or the herdsmen? Let’s face it, pals, we all have a common enemy; TheRich.

It really amazes me when I see supporters of these politicians go at each other on social media. It sometimes degenerates into insults and quarrels. But come, what have these guys (TheRich) done for you as a person? Yet, they have laws which largely empowers them (TheRich) and makes it impossible for us (TheRestOfUs) to break into the circle.

Come to think of it:
They don't ply the bad roads and spend hours in traffic like we do daily!
They don't use our dead healthcare systems! They fly abroad –even for the treatment of common headache.
They don't rely on NEPA; PHCN!
Their children don’t have to deal with the shame that our education sector has become!
For these reasons, it’s quite understandable that they aren’t bothered about our plights.

#TheRestOfUs need to rise up. We need to take our destinies in our hands. I've said it on countless occasions and I'll say it again. We need a massive revolt against the political class. If you're not part of “TheRich", then you're obliged to join this movement. "TheRestOfUs" need to wake up and do something! I made a suggestion in my previous write-up but I think I’m done trying to convince you so I’ve thought out my personal plan B.

I’ve realized that one easy way to become (individually) free is to either join them in politics or marry one of their children. (I’M IN LOVE WITH KANYINSOLA ooooo)…But then, how many of us will their children marry? I’ve been looking for ANY of their kids all my life and it took me a while to realize that my efforts in that regard will never yield any fruits. #TheRich only get married to themselves (a couple of weeks ago, Kano State Governor’s daughter and the son of Oyo State governor got married. Over the weekend, Dangote’s daughter got married to Dikko Abubakar who is the son of the former Inspector General of Police. The Vice president’s daughter; Damilola also got married to the son of Bola Shagaya; a prominent billionaire oil magnate).

Let’s be realistic for a minute.
They will continue to get married to themselves…
…their kids don’t attend the same school as #TheRestOfUs.
They don’t live in the same areas as #TheRestOfUs.
They don’t go to the same hospitals as #TheRestOfUs.
They don’t attend the same worship centers as #TheRestOfUs, neither do we relax in the same joints/clubs.
Apparently, we live in different worlds. We’re probably never going to meet them, talk-less of “marry them”.

Well, since you’re too scared to join a massive revolt, at least it’s not too much to ask that you help me achieve my PLAN B. KANYINSOLA is the Vice-President’s 2nd daughter. Please, tell someone to tell somebody else to tell another person to tell the Vice president (& KANYINSOLA) that krAzy is in love with his daughter (her)!
In the long run, if we can pull this off, (at least), you'll be a friend to the son-in-law of the vice president. That one sef, nor be bad profile for you. 😉

E NOR GO BETA FOR YOU!

Before you attempt having my head for ‘cursing you’, just give me a moment to explain myself. Afterall, we didn’t kill the late Dr. Tai. Solarin for telling us back then, “May Your Road Be Rough”. Moreso, this phrase is hardly ever said with seriousness. It’s often used JOKINGLY by buddies. But hey! This time around, I’ll let you be the one to decide what to make of it.

Let’s take a moment to check out some facts and figures:

ECONOMY:
The Nigerian Economy is one of the least competitive in the world, currently ranking an abysmal 127th out of 138 economies globally. – World Economic Forum

SECURITY:
Nigeria (a few years ago) ranked as the 2nd most dangerous country to live in, after Iraq… and also 5th   in the world in the world abduction ranking. Now that we’ve caught Evans, let’s hope this one changes.

The World Bank’s Ease of doing business report for 2017 places Nigeria in 169th position out of 190 countries considered.

POVERTY:
Nigeria is ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world (not in terms of natural resources, but) in terms of the percentage of the population living below the poverty line; between 67 & 72% according to the Poverty Report by National Bureau of Statistics.

POWER/ELECTRICITY:
Nigeria was ranked by the World Bank as the 2nd worst in the world in electricity supply. That was in 2012…but not much has changed since then too… I actually powered my laptop with my gen to put this together.

LIVABILITY:
Lagos; Nigeria’s London (where 'everyone' in Naija wants to come to) ranks as the third worst city to live in in the world by placing 138th out of 140 cities ranked in the survey– 2016 report on Global Livability Index by Economist Intelligence Unit.

GROWING OLD:
Global AgeWatch Index 2013 ranking of 91 countries, put Nigeria at 85th; the 7th worst country to grow old in.

EDUCATION:
Only ONE Nigerian university (University of Ibadan – around 801) is on the list of the Top 1000 universities in the world. I think this info clearly sums up our Educational Sector.

WORST COUNTRY FOR A GIRL:

PROSPERITY:

Ok, it’s not all about bad stuff sha…

HAPPINESS:
Despite all this, Nigeria currently ranks 6th in Africa in the latest World Happiness Report of 2017 and sits at 95th in the world out of 155 countries considered.

CRUDE OIL:
Nigeria ranks among the top-10/15 oil-producing countries in the world. And for the records, the top 10 oil-producing countries account for almost 70% of the world’s total oil output.

MOVIES:
According to Wikipedia, Nigeria’s film industry; Nollywood is the second largest film industry in the world

FOOTBALL:
The Nigerian Super Eagles have hovered between 40th & 55th position in recent times. So sad when you consider the fact that we once rose as high as 5th in the world.

COMEDY:
No data to back this up, but I’m sure there’s no doubting the fact that Nigerian comedians…WE DEY TRY! In Fact, we dey burst brain!!!

MUSIC:
I saw a report that places Nigerian music in 18th position in the world out of over a hundred countries considered. I’m not very convinced about the source of this info but then, you’ll agree with me that musically, Nigeria is definitely not doing badly.

                                                *****

From all this data, it’s quite clear that everything our government has a hand in is in a state of complete chaos; total failure! The other areas where we seem to be faring better are areas which are doing so on their own without the involvement of the government. As a matter of fact, those few areas are equally suffering because of government’s neglect.
As a nation, we have (and have ALWAYS had) highly irresponsible leaders who (despite their well-documented failures over the years), aren’t ready to relinquish power. Here’s the most annoying part of this article:

LEGISLATORS PAY CHEQUE:
Despite all the failing sectors of the Nigerian entity as a whole, Nigerian Federal Legislators are the highest paid in the world. YES! NIGERIAN FEDERAL LEGISLATORS ARE THE HIGHEST PAID IN THE WORLD!!!

With this crop of leaders, it’s obvious that Nigeria can NEVER get better; rather E NOR GO BETA FOR US.
The populace cannot be completely left out of all of this but then, we can make a case for us - to some extent. A lot of people have been pushed to the wall.

TheWayForward:
Let’s push them out!
They have appeared to us in different forms; in camo, & in agbada…from the days of ‘Ap’ & ‘SDd’ to the current ‘PpP’ and ‘APd’ that we have today. Let’s push out these ‘recycled leaders’ who have been there for over 40years. They have absolutely nothing to offer, yet, they keep lying to us (the youths) about being the leaders of tomorrow – a tomorrow that will never come if we don’t take action today.
Let’s mount pressure on our leaders.
Let’s demand accountable leadership!
Let’s shut down this country and start afresh!

I’m ready. Are you?
I know you won’t join me. You’re too scared. That’s why I said Nigeria can NEVER get better…Now you see what I mean when I say it (just like my wafi bruvas will express it); E NOR GO BETA FOR YOU…for me...for us... & even for the coming generation - UNLESS we take drastic steps.
